Who are we?

The Shelburne County Women’s FishNet is a group of volunteer women from Shelburne County, an affiliate to Nova Scotia Women’s FishNet, a source of support on various women’s issues, open to woman of all ages , and focuses on the needs and concerns of the women, seniors and youths in our communities. Shelburne County Women’s FishNet acts as Encouragers to women who are seeking information to help them apply for courses, apply for jobs and/or identify support services.

What do we do?

The Shelburne County Women’s FishNet provides:

  • Support network for women, seniors and youths in Shelburne County
  • Workshops on various subjects requested by women, seniors and youths
  • Links to resource material and people through our friendship groups
  • An opportunity to link women’s, senior’s and youth’s needs with possible solutions
  • Leadership in conducting research projects on/for women’s, senior’s and youth’s issues in Shelburne
    County
